Beauty & Strength

"The lotus flower grows out of the mud and emerges unblemished - bright and beautiful - from the murky depths.
The deeper the mud, the more exquisite the flower.
Despite its beginnings, mud does not cling to the pristine flower. It retains its purity.
The lotus flower speaks of resilience, potential, growth and overcoming.
This is a powerful reminder that we too can emerge from difficult beginnings, intact at the deepest level of our being."

Empowering, Inspiring & Supporting

Our aim is to empower, inspire and support women survivors of sexual abuse.

Courageous Women runs monthly peer support groups aimed at providing support with people who understand, sharing knowledge and information, comradeship, encouragement, motivation and inspiration.
We have empowering and fun guest speakers frequently, and a relaxed and safe environment. Find out more

Family & Friends
We know that family and friends of sexual abuse survivors are deeply affected by what has happened to their loved one and they are also affected by how their loved one copes with this trauma and we want to acknowledge that.
Therefore they need their own forms of support, so we would like to hear from family and friends as to how we can encourage and support you. Contact us

"Courageous Women are just that, a wonderful team of people who give so much to so many. To be able to provide a safe environment to help one heal is a true indication that there are people who really do care. I commend you all and thank you so very much for being there supporting those that are on the journey from being a victim to becoming a survivor. I thank Kathy and everyone else who go above and beyond to help those to find that there is a bigger, better and brighter future for all survivors".
